Hi! I'm Chuma, a designer and researcher near Toronto, Canada.

A picture of me with Nọrọ in the corner.

I design products for everyday life at Parts Apart Studio. The Nọrọ Stool captures my design ethos: a functional object that is held together by its own material properties without the need for fasteners.

I research product aesthetics at the University of Toronto. Specifically, I am interested in how memories of previously used objects affect product preferences and how to apply this to the design of products for the elderly.

I also write a blog, previously worked on Maternal Figures, organized the Hardware Things community, and have contributed to some media publications. I love romcoms and old TV shows. DesignTO published a fun Q&A of me. You can contact me here.
